Βόμβα ανακαλύφθηκε στο αεροπλάνο της Air France στη Κένυα.Ένα αεροσκάφος της εταιρείας Air France, που απογειώθηκε από τον Μαυρίκιο με προορισμό το αεροδρόμιο Σαρλ ντε Γκολ στο Παρίσι, πραγματοποίησε αναγκαστική προσγείωση τη νύχτα του Σαββάτου προς Κυριακή στη Μομπάσα στην Κένυα μετά τον εντοπισμός ενός ύποπτου δέματος στο αεροσκάφος, ανακοίνωσε η αστυνομία της Κένυας.
Η πτήση AF 463, με 459 επιβαίνοντες και 14μελές πλήρωμα επρόκειτο να προσγειωθεί στο Παρίσι στις 06.50 ώρα Ελλάδας. Προσγειώθηκε ωστόσο στο διεθνές αεροδρόμιο Moi της Μομπάσα, στις ανατολικές ακτές της Κένυας, στις 23.37 ώρα Ελλάδας του Σαββάτου.
Ο υπουργός Εσωτερικών της Κένυας, Τζόσεφ Νκαισέρι, που μετέβη αμέσως στη Μομπάσα, δήλωσε ότι η αστυνομία ανακρίνει πολλούς επιβάτες της πτήσης, χωρίς να δώσει έναν συγκεκριμένο αριθμό.
«Η έρευνα βρίσκεται ακόμα σε εξέλιξη, όμως αυτό που μπορώ να επιβεβαιώσω προς το παρόν είναι ότι οι ερευνητές ανακρίνουν πολλούς επιβάτες σχετικά με τον μηχανισμό που εντοπίστηκε εντός του αεροσκάφους της Air France» επισήμανε ο ίδιος στον Τύπο.
Ο Κενυάτης υπουργός δεν διευκρίνισε το είδος του «μηχανισμού» που εντοπίστηκε. Σε επικοινωνία που είχε το Γαλλικό Πρακτορείο ειδήσεων με την Air France, η αεροπορική εταιρεία ανέφερε ότι σε αυτό το στάδιο «δε γνωρίζουμε ακόμα το είδος του αντικειμένου» που ανακαλύφθηκε στο αεροσκάφος.
Σε τηλεγράφημα ωστόσο του ρωσικού πρακτορείου ειδήσεων Sputnik, που επικαλείται τους υπεύθυνους του αεροδρομίου της Κένυας, επισημαίνεται ότι ο μηχανισμός που εντοπίστηκε εντός του Μπόινγκ 777 της Air France ήταν ένας εκρηκτικός μηχανισμός.
«Οι ειδικοί των μονάδων εξουδετέρωσης εκρηκτικών μηχανισμών ανακάλυψαν μια βόμβα εντός του αεροσκάφους της Air France στο Διεθνές Αεροδρόμιο Moi στη Μομπάσα» επισημαίνεται σε μια ανακοίνωσε της διοίκησης του αεροδρομίου στον ιστότοπο κοινωνικής δικτύωσης Twitter.
O εκρηκτικός μηχανισμός μεταφέρθηκε σε ασφαλές σημείο εκτός του αεροδρομίου, σύμφωνα με τις αρχές.

The first footage of the strategic long-range bombers in action surfaced on November 17 and served notice that Moscow is willing to double down on its commitment to the fight even if securing key cities like Aleppo proves more challenging that The Kremlin originally anticipated.

Those who have followed the Syrian conflict might recall that in early September (so before Moscow made Russia’s involvement “official”) the US pressured Greece to deny Russia use of its airspace on supply runs to Latakia. Subsequently, Bulgaria said it had “enough serious doubts about the cargo of the planes” to refuse overflight privileges.
Well in the course of detailing Russia’s long-range bomber missions, Konovalov noted that the Tu-160s were forced to fly from the airfield of Olenegorsk in Russia’s northwestern Murmansk Region.
Why is this notable, you ask? Here’s Konovalov again: “Europe didn’t let us fly; Turkey didn’t let us fly, but we showed that even is such conditions we’re capable of coping with the task using airfields on the Russian territory.”
In other words, Europe and Turkey declined to allow Russia to use their airspace on the way to conducting airstrikes against the very same terrorists that attacked Parisjust four days before the long-range warplanes were deployed to the fight in Syria.“Russian pilots had to leave for Syria from Russia’s northernmost Olenegorsk military airport in order to bypass Europe and then cross the Mediterranean Sea toward Syria,” Sputnik adds.
As for the EU, the refusal likely stems from the long-running dispute over Ukraine and the attendant economic sanctions which are of course part and parcel of generally frosty relations between Brussels and Moscow. As for Turkey, it’s fairly obvious why Ankara is seeking to make life difficult for the Russians. The two countries are embroiled in an intense war of words following Erdogan’s move to down a Russian fighter jet near the Syrian border and like closing the Bosphorus, hampering Russian bombers’ path to Syria by declning overflight is just one more way for Ankara to impede Moscow’s efforts to shore up Assad.
At the end of the day, this is still more evidence that when it comes to “cooperation” in the war on terror, one side isn’t doing its part.
Πρόθυμη για μεταρρυθμίσεις θεωρεί την ελληνική κυβέρνηση ο επικεφαλής του Ευρωπαϊκού Μηχανισμού Στήριξης Κλάους Ρέγκλινγκ, παρά τις πρόσφατες καθυστερήσεις που σημειώθηκαν στο πρόγραμμα.Παράλληλα επαναφέρει την απειλή του grexit ο Ρέγκλινγκ, αν δεν προχωρήσουν οι μεταρρυθμίσεις.
«Στην Ελλάδα μερικές φορές τα πράγματα “κολλάνε”, αλλά δεν θα πρέπει αυτό να το εξομοιώνουμε με μεταρρυθμιστική απροθυμία», δηλώνει στην Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung και αποδίδει τις καθυστερήσεις στις αδυναμίες της ελληνικής Διοίκησης. «Ο Τσίπρας φέρνει αποτέλεσμα», λέει χαρακτηριστικά.
«Θα χρειαστεί μια γενιά προκειμένου να φτάσουμε στην ευρωπαϊκή κανονικότητα», συνεχίζει ο κ. Ρέγκλινγκ και προσθέτει ότι η ελληνική Διοίκηση συχνά επιβαρύνεται υπερβολικά με την εφαρμογή κάποιων μεταρρυθμίσεων.
Τονίζει ωστόσο ότι η ελληνική κυβέρνηση γνωρίζει πως μόνο με μεταρρυθμίσεις θα λάβει περαιτέρω πιστώσεις από τον ESM και επισημαίνει ότι μόνο με την δανειακή βοήθεια η χώρα μπορεί να αντεπεξέλθει στις υποχρεώσεις της προς την ESM και το ΔΝΤ.
Σε μια τέτοια περίπτωση, συνεχίζει ο επικεφαλής του ESM, δεν θα πρέπει να αποκλείσουμε το ενδεχόμενο να φθάσουμε σε μια κατάσταση παρόμοια με αυτή στα μέσα του έτους.
Σε ό, τι αφορά τον κίνδυνο εξόδου της Ελλάδας από την Ευρωζώνη, ο κ. Ρέγκλινγκ εξηγεί ότι το Grexit αποτελούσε πιθανότητα όσο η ελληνική κυβέρνηση απέρριπτε τις μεταρρυθμίσεις. Μετά την συμφωνία της όμως με τα άλλα ευρωπαϊκά κράτη, η κυβέρνηση γνωρίζει «ότι η χώρα μπορεί μακροπρόθεσμα να εξυγιανθεί μόνο εάν επενδύσει σε μια μεταρρυθμιστική πορεία», σημειώνει και αναφέρει ότι αυτή τη στιγμή «ο Τσίπρας φέρνει αποτέλεσμα».
Πολύ πιο βόρεια από τον Αρκτικό Κύκλο, σε έναν σιδηροδρομικό σταθμό πνιγμένο στο χιόνι και μέσα στο σκοτάδι του αρκτικού χειμώνα, τελείωσε η οδύσσεια για τουλάχιστον 600 πρόσφυγες από τη Μέση Ανατολή.
Στο Ρικσγκάνσεν βρίσκονται οι εγκαταστάσεις του πιο βόρειου χιονοδρομικού κέντρου του κόσμου. Το κέντρο βρίσκεται 200 χιλιόμετρα βορείως του αρκτικού κύκλου και 2 ώρες με το αυτοκίνητο από την πιο κοντινή πόλη.
Αυτήν την εποχή ο ήλιος δεν ανατέλει ποτέ σε αυτήν την παγωμένη γωνιά του κόσμου, όπου το θερμόμετρο είναι κολλημένο στους μείον 30 βαθμούς Κελσίου.
Πάντως το χιονοδρομικό κέντρο μπορεί να προσφέρει ζεστά σκεπάσματα και ζεστό φαγητό για τους ταλαιπωρημένους πρόσφυγες.
Ο διευθυντής του κέντρου, ο Σβεν Κούλντκεπ φρόντισε έστω και υπό αυτές τις συνθήκες όλοι οι φιλοξενούμενοί του να περάσουν – κατά το δυνατό – καλά. Βόλτες με έλκηθρα για τα παιδιά, γυμναστήριο και μαθήματα μποξ για τους μεγάλους.

Thursday Humor: Lawyer For Martin Shkreli Hike Fees 5,000%….Earlier today, the “most hated man in America”, serial biotech entrepreneur and former Jim Cramer protege Martin Shkreli was arrested by the FBI.
As Shkreli reminded the world earlier this week while discussing an absurd plan to free an incarcerated rapper, coming up with $2 million in bail money is “no fucking problem,” so we assume he’ll be able to afford an OJ-esque legal team.
A criminal lawyer representing Turing Pharmaceuticals chief Martin Shkreli has informed his client that he is raising his hourly legal fees by five thousand per cent, the lawyer has confirmed.
Minutes after Shkreli’s arrest on charges of securities fraud, the attorney, Harland Dorrinson, announced that he was hiking his fees from twelve hundred dollars an hour to sixty thousand dollars.
Shkreli, who reportedly received the news about the price hike while he was being fingerprinted, cried foul and accused his attorney of “outrageous and inhumane price gouging.”
“This is the behavior of a sociopath,” Shkreli was heard screaming.
For his part, Shkreli’s lawyer was unmoved by his client’s complaint. “Compared to what he pays for an hour of Wu-Tang Clan, sixty thou is a bargain,” he said.

Do you lie in bed at night worrying that an earthquake could strike at any moment, burying you in a heap of rubble?This ‘earthquake-proof’ bed looks utterly terrifying.
Well, Chinese inventor Wang Wenxi has the answer. He’s designed an earthquake-proof bed that promises to keep you safe should your house fall down in the small hours.
When a quake hits, the bed’s mechanism will spring into action, slamming you into a reinforced chamber, a bit like a tiny panic room, where (we assume) you’re supposed to sit tight and await rescue.
Wang was apparently granted a patent for his design in 2010, but it only recently captured the public’s imagination after this concept video appeared on YouTube and started doing the rounds on social media over the last few days.
As the video shows, Wang’s bed includes storage space for drinking water, canned food, and other vital supplies to keep you alive in your tiny little metal coffin until help arrives.
Speaking to reporters in 2010, Wang said: “The Wenchuan and Yushu earthquakes caused heavy casualties so I thought the most serious thing I could do was to invent something to reduce the toll in lives.”
The Wenchuan earthquake, in the southwestern province of Sichuan, left nearly 87,000 people dead or missing in 2008. Yushu, in the northwestern Qinghai province, was hit by a quake that killed nearly 2,700 people in 2010.
Wang told AFP the bed would be suitable for brick and concrete low-rise buildings and bungalows.
Το Facebook εισβάλει στον κλάδο των μεταφορών , μέσω της συμφωνίας που υπέγραψε με την εταιρία Uber.
Οι δύο εταιρίες μέσω της συνεργασίας τους θα προσφέρουν στους χρήστες του Facebook τη δυνατότητα να καλούν ταξί της Uber απευθείας μέσω του Messenger.
Θα μπορούν δηλαδή να καλούν όχημα της Uber χωρίς να βγαίνουν από το λογισμικό του Facebook και να απαιτείται να κατεβάσουν ξεχωριστά την εφαρμογή της Uber.
Το «Uber on Messenger» έχει τεθεί σε λειτουργία σε τμήματα των ΗΠΑ από αυτή την εβδομάδα, όπως ανακοινώθηκε και από τις δύο πλευρές, μέσω αναρτήσεων στα επίσημα blogs τους.
Η συνεργασία αυτή θα αποδειχθεί εξαιρετικά κερδοφόρα για την Uber, διότι, εάν αποδειχθεί επιτυχής, θα αποκτήσει πρόσβαση σε πολλούς νέους πελάτες, καθώς το Messenger έχει περίπου 700 εκατ. χρήστες παγκοσμίως.
Επίσης, από πλευράς του Facebook, όπως γνωστοποιήθηκε, η νέα λειτουργία εντασσόταν στο πλαίσιο της ευρύτερης διαδικασίας ανάπτυξής του, με επιπλέον χώρες και «παίκτες» του χώρου των μεταφορών να αναμένεται να είναι διαθέσιμοι σύντομα- ενώ παράλληλα τονίζει την ευκολία χρήσης της υπηρεσίας, με αποδείξεις και updates να παραδίδονται υπό τη μορφή προσωπικής συζήτησης μεταξύ του χρήστη και της Uber.
Η πρώτη διαδρομή θα είναι δωρεάν, αρκεί το κανονικό κόστος της να φτάνει μέχρι τα 20 δολάρια.
