ECB Lowers Greek ELA Ceiling to EU10.9B From EU12.2B: Statement
By Marcus Bensasson
(Bloomberg) —
ECB’s Governing Council didn’t object to a Bank of Greece request to lower ELA ceiling for Greek lenders by EU1.3b to EU10.9b, Athens-based central bank says in statement.
-
Reduction “reflects an improvement of the liquidity situation of Greek banks, taking into account flows stemming from private sector deposits and from the banks’ access to wholesale financial markets”
-
Revised ceiling valid through July 11
